Volunteer Opportunities
I would LOVE to have volunteers this year for the grade-level performances. I usually ask parents to have students in the music room 15-20 minutes early on program nights. This allows students to find their place on the riser and get some of their nervous energy out. It also allows me to see if all of the parts are covered (singing, speaking, dancing, acting, etc.). There are three areas you help with on program nights.
If you are interested in serving our school in any of these ways please contact me. :) THANK YOU!
Music Room Needs
None of the following supplies are required for students to supply. Any items you would like to donate to the music room would be greatly appreciated!
Classroom Library
I absolutely love to read and one of my favorite things to do is bring literacy into the music room. Students have brought books alive by adding music to them. The following books are just a few that I would love to add to our classroom library!
Cat Goes Fiddle-I-Fee by Paul Galdone
The Aliens are Coming by Colin McNaughton
We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Helen Oxenbury and Michael Rosen
Peter and the Wolf
I know a Shy Fellow who Swallowed a Cello by Babara Garriel
Berlioz the Bear by Jan Brett

- Crowd Control (helping me back-stage as students come into the music room)
- Programs (handing out programs as people walk into the cafeteria)
- Stage Clean-Up (cleaning the stage after performances-folding risers, put away instruments/props)
